Banana Plant is an auspicious and ancient fruit crop grown in Asia. After the fruit and the leaves are harvested, the bark of the tree is used which otherwise would have gone waste. The fibre is extracted from the bark of the tree which is the mother of so many beautiful handcrafted banana fibre products.
The banana fibre is composed of cellulose – 62%, lignin - 29%, hemicellulose 3%, rectin - 2%, miscellaneous - 4%. By-products of the fibre are : fabrics, bags, various types of mats, interior decoration items, window blinds, cushion covers, bolster covers, table lamps and folders

Raw capiz shells are harvested in different coastal waters of the Philippines specifically in the province of Capiz, located in the Western Visayas region. Crafting various products out of raw capiz material is a long process and requires a lot of effort and crafsmanship. Capiz shell in its raw form Collected capiz shells are then cleaned using a non-hazardous cleaning agent and will undergo heat through an oven. Next, the cooked capiz shells are cooled. After cooling, they are then kept in a drying container the whole day. Pounded shells undergo a sifting process wherein selected sizes and shapes are classified.
